I have a scenario to pass by you,
I have a customer that decided to clean the dust and sand from an HP Proliant Server DL380 G4 running Win Server 2003 Enterprise. The 6 hard drives were removed to clean the dust and sand using a vacuum. Upon re-starting the server the following message appeared:
ISASS.EXE - SYSTEM ERROR
Security accounts manager initialization failed because of the following error: directory service cannot start. Error status: 0xc00002e1. Please click OK to shutdown this system and reboot into directory services restore mode, check the event log for more detailed information.
I suspect the hard drives were re-installed in the wrong slots. Is there a utility to identify which hard drives go into which slots? There is no physical marking on the hard drives to identify which slots they should go into. Do you have any ideas on how to resolve this problem. Oh by the way, I do not know the local administrator password either.I hope you can help,
