Ok. I have got two network cards in my server. The IPs are.
1st Network card: 192.168.1.200
2nd Network card: 192.168.1.201.
And the computer name is BUMPY.
How do i set when you Ping/file transfer/etc the computer name BUMPY to the first network card 192.168.1.200.

Regards
Ross

A way might be to use a hosts file. Unless you have DNS setup then go there. The only drawback with hosts is that if you change then you need to edit file. Guess you might even be able to use AD, pretty sure I read even another way but I forgot.

Ross,

Why do you want both NICs on the same subnet? This can generate a lot of problems.

The above post is what I was going to say. You can not have two nics on the same computer on the same subnet. The only exception to this rule is if you have the same nics and the manufacturer has a driver that allows load balancing or fault tolerance. In this case, the driver creates a virtual nic, assigns it one IP address, and communicates to the network at twice the speed. The other other two physical nics do not have IP addresses on them.
