Client has one Novell 5.1 Server, all patched up to date, also one Windows 2003 Enterprise Server, also patched up to date. Win 2003 Server has a DSL connection to the Internet, which is the only machine with an Internet connection. The connection is 128K down & 64K up. Connection is via an InnoWave PCU Enhanced Multi Gain Wireless connection.

I'm a Novell person and I know that BM doesn't support DSL, so I tried to set up Windows Internet Sharing - ZILCH.

There are 5 other computers all requiring to share this connection one XP, 3 W2K Pro and 1 Windows 98.

All workstations (except the Win 2003 Server) get their IP address from the Novell DHCP Server, DNS is Static and set up on each station. All machines are connected to a single DLink Hub 100BaseT. Win 2003 is 192.168.0.200 and workstation in range 192.168.0.2 to 20.

How can one achieve the result of getting the other 5 machines to be able to share the Internet connection. There is no Router here. The Ip Address of the Internet box is a Class A address but the gateway is 10.128.0.0. I tried all the methods advised on MS forums, but I think the Novell Server is causing the problem and they won't get rid of it.

Any advice would be appreciated.

yo,

just a thought. you can setup w2k3 as a NAT(i.e internet connection sharing), in this case w2k3 will do the DHCP. so you need to disable the DHCP service in the Novell server.

Another method is to set the win box up as a router, (software). That would be the least changes to the existing network.
