Installshield under Win2003

CPU/Ram: AMD 2400xp, 512mb

lo all, recently put win2k3 on and had a few progs that wont install, most of em use installshield however; and i was wondering if there was a way to trick it into thinking its windows 2000 or XP.

I've tried compatability mode with no luck
any advice is appreciated

When you run compatibility mode do you do it both in the installer and then later in the application?

just the installer, cant run most apps without installing them first

Oh, you didn't get that far.

If you can't install with compatibility mode then your only other choice is a virtual machine I would guess.

The only other thought might be to go further back to 95 or 98 on you choice.

nah no such luck - still wont install using win95/win98 mode

was hoping for a way to trick it rather than setting up a virtual machine, they're too much hassle and dont run paticularly fast.

installed under compat mode
win2000 on win XP box

but how do I DEinstall?
