hi there,
we have 2 servers in our network, server1 is a domain controller (company.local),dns, exchange 2003.
server2 is a member server of company.local domain.
now i want to setup server2 as a second exchange 2003 server on the network.
1: i've installed all the nessaccery components required (NNTP,IIS,SMTP..)
2: i've run setup from the command prompt like this x:\setup /chooseDC company.local
3: loaded setup, clicked next on the agreement page and entered license key then on the components sheet i selected typical from the action and then booooom error messagemultiple components cannot be assigned the requested action(s) because:
-setup encountered an error while trying to contact the windows active directory. the error was:
-failed to connect to local domain controller company.local . please verify that it is up, reachable, and that you have sufficient permissions to use it.server2 can communicate with server1 without any problems.
i've logged in as administrator which is a member of domain admins,Schema Admins and Enterprise Adminsplease help if you can
Many Thanks
Saleh

You can only have one exchange organization per forest.
Imagine the power if you knew how to internet search

Try not using the chooseDC switch. I don't know why that would be necessary; setup should find your DC without you specifying it.
If you do use it, try netbios name of the DC, or if you didn't use it the fully qualified name of the DC, not the domain name.
