There seems to be a problem with IIS 6.0 where I can't download a file greater than 4GB through HTTP. FTP works fine but when I go through HTTP, it gives me an error like the files doesn't exist. I tried searching google but I found nothing. Maybe a metaedit or something? Thanks

Is the harddisk, where you store the file bigger 4 GB in NTFS. Because if it is formated in FAT32, you can't save files bigger 4 GB on it.

Yeah it's a 750GB NTFS Disk. My problem is that I can't download, through IIS 6.0, from HTTP any files bigger than 4 GB. If I go through FTP, it's fine.

That KB is for an ASP.net application related fault, I do not have this problem. The KB also states transfing data TO the server, not FROM it. It also states that SP1 for server has fixed the issue and I'm running R2 with SP2.

You can't fix it. Well, you can. Set up large files to be served via ftp. That is what it is for. "Windows Internet Explorer 7 can reliably download files up to 4 GB in size without the previously described change to the server. Well thanks for letting me know. At least I know it's not the server's fault. Yes, I host both an HTTP and FTP area for downloads and have been telling clients that are getting errors to use the FTP. Man...Microsoft....No words, no words.
