IIS 6.0 and session variables

We are currently running an ASP application on IIS 6.0 on a Win2003 box. We are seeing alot of drop sessions while people are working with the application(we only store username in a session variable).
Any suggestions on what to look for in the confurgation of the server that may be causing the user to lose their session? We have adjusted the timeout on the server but that doesn't seem to help.
