After clicking on IE icon,it loads MSN as a home page. By clicking on any topics on MSN home page, new window opens with the article. But when trying to load say google from address bar or typing it, message pops up:THE REQUEST LOOKUP KEY WAS NOT FOUND IN ANY ACTIVE ACTIVATION CONTEST. THE FILE NAME, DIRECTORY NAME OR VOLUME LABEL SYNTAX IS INCORRECT.

I suspect the simple answer would be to upgrade to IE8.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
