Hello all,

I am new to Windows Server 2003 and learning myself. After installed DNS and IIS, IE could not access to websites. For example, after I entered www.yahoo.com in the url field, then on the status bar showed www.www.yahoo.com.com then www.www. yahoo.com.net then some others.

I read other articles they said this is because IE cannot resolve the address and tried to complete the address as it thought the address was imcompleted.

My question is how can I resolve this problem and troubleshooting?

Thanks

Douglas

Start with ipconfig /all
What does it show for DNS settings?

Hi

Thank you for your prompt help.

Just resolved the problem.

The trouble came from that I did not set the host record properly in DNS. I did not put the server name on it.

Thank you very much and regards.

Douglas
