Maybe you could provide us with some more information - we don't really have much to work on here. Not to mention the distinct lack of any sort of grammar or punctuation.

The HP Proliant servers are designed to shutdown automatically in the event of a hardware failure. For example, a fan failure might cause server to overheat to the point the server will power itself off. By "shutting down" do you mean it powers itself off and stays off? Or is it rebooting/restarting?

I am experiencing the same problem. I have an HP ML350 G4. With a HP6402 controller with a raid 1 boot drive (W2K3, SP1). The server just seems to randomly reboot, no event entries. On start-up the raid (or the controller is not present. I need to shutdown the power via the power switch then it restarts. I have corrupted a couple drives due to the hard shutdown. Any Ideas? Thanks, Todd
