Hello,

I am trying to get an HP 3055 All-in One scanner to work on some Windows 2003 servers. When I try to install the drivers (CD) I get a message that I don’t meet the system requirements. I called Hp and they helped me until I said I was using Win 2003 Server. Apparently the print function is supported but scanning is not. Has anyone been able to get a similar series printer working on Win2003? I have 15 server that I need to give the ability to scan and I can’t get the drivers to install.

I'm trying to get rid of old fashion faxing.

If anyone could give some input I would really appreciate it!!

Thank you in advance.

Jim G.

My suggestion: Return the HPs and get another brand.

For all 16 severs? I'm running Win2k Server and Win2003 Servers. The 2000 server run fine...i think. So that would cost me 9k to replace all of the printers. Thanks for the suggestion. =)

The servers are located in 16 different locations.

Hi,

First copy the whole CD to the HDD.
Then hacked the inf file and it worked for me.

In the autorun.inf

[SystemRequirements]
Overide=No
OSList=500,501,502 <--- add this this is 2003 server

After this installs then you will need the latest patches both bios and for scanning
( Looks like wihtout this it ate 100% CPU)

Regards
Jet
