In my neighborhood, there have been a lot of robberies with electronics stolen. I just wanted to know if there is any way I can make my computer impossible to use if stolen. Like set a bios password without the option of the jumper. I want to make sure it will not work for anyone else than me.

You CANNOT make a computer impossible to use via BIOS password because all someone has to do is remove the Harddrive and replace in a different system which thus has full access. If someone really wanted physical access to your computer they could just remove the battery/flash your CMOS to remove the password. The best way to protect your computer, in my opinion, is to lock it up in a case that has a secure built-in lock.

invest in a computer box cage and lock it up to something really heavy :)

format drives iwth NTFS partitions only and encrypt ALL data that is important to you, and always back up your crap.

else there is NO way to stop anything from happening
