Group Policy Problem

I have two domains. In the first domain I have applied group policies to restrict users ie no right click on desktop. The second domain has no group policies applied. I took a machine from the first domain (put it into a workgroup) then joined it to the second domain. Now I find that the policies applied in the first domain remain on the machine even though the second domain has no policies. How can I remove all restrictions from the machine now that it is a member of the second domain. Hope this makes sense to you guys and you can help.

Interesting question. wanderer, do you think a forced gpupdate would work in this situation?

GPupdate /force doesnt work in this situation as there is no policy to enforce. The standard microsoft gpo is set to "not configured" out of the box. This means that whatever setting existed before remains (eith disabled or enabled). I want to set everything back to default as if I never applied the group policy in the first place.
