hi all
i am trying to setup a gp in win server 2003 to hide the specified control panel applets:
administrative tools folder options printers and faxes scheduled taks
i have found a lot of websites with a 'comprehensive' list of control panel applets (.cpl).
unfortunatly, none of the above control panel applets are listed.
i would be greatful for any help. printer and faxes

The problem with the applets you have mentioned is that with the exception of folder options they are not really control panel applets, more folders of their own. However, I've just tried to find folder options and it isn't there either, very strange. It may be because it is part of explorer. It can be disabled directly from GP anyway. As for the others you can get round the problem by using the other policy to show only the applets you want users to see.
