global Catalog Update

Is there a way to set the update of the global catalog to happen more frequently.

It seems that when I do a Change to active Directory add users or do a group policy change, the only way I can get the other DC's on the network to update is if I reboot them.

all of these DC in question do have a global catalog.

I also noticed that if I change a logon
scripts for an OU the updated script does not seem to replicate to the other DC's without doing a reboot.
