Ghost Access is Denied

We recently updated our Windows 2003 server with critical updates but not SP1. Since then, I cannot logon to the server successfully when trying to create a Ghost image using Ghost 8.2.0 from a Windows XP Pro laptop.
I read an old article here that referenced a link to a Microsoft Technet article specifically for this problem but I cannot find the information I need. I've looked high and low, looked through Group Policies, Policy Editor, Registry, Services on the server, Microsoft's site as well as Technet, etc. but I'm coming up short.
Could someone please direct me where to go from here? Thanks.
