Hi,
I have a situation where a host has two IP addresses on two different networks. For authentication purposes and general good practice, the hostname of the machine should resolve to both IPs and the reverse lookup of each IP should resolve to the machines hostname.
However, there will be different routing rules for each IP address, and as a result a client asking for this hostname should always be given one of the two IP addresses.
Is it possible to get Server 2003 DNS to prefer an IP address and always give this one rather than round-robin the results?
I use round-robin elsewhere in the DNS, so it is not possible to disable round-robin completely.
Any help would be appreciated!
