hi guys, how do i make a virtual directory on a mapped drive. I want to share some stuff on a mapped drive on my ftp server. have admin permissions of the drive.

Not quite sure what you mean by "virtual directory". Are you trying to make files on a locally mapped drive available on your FTP server? That's how I read that. If so, what FTP server software are you using?

In the IIS applet, when you choose the Directory, tick the button that says anopther computer, then navigate to the folder in the lines of \\servername\folder

yeah, i tried that using IIS, but didnt worked. I always get 550 Logon failure.. unknown username or bad password. I was wondering if i can map a drive and put a folder in it on my ftp server, by making it a virtual directory ? Is this possible ? In linux i can mount some drive and make it available for ftp, there must be some way of doing this in windows too .. i guess ??
