I have a server with a tape drive that I wish to back up with. I used Tapeware (came with HP) but i think it messed up all my tapes or something, every time I Write i get an error or something. Is there any good backup software out there that I can use to back up my files? Also possibly a good way to format the tapes properly would be good too. I've used ntbackup but didnt prove to be useful. Thank you for reading!

It always helps to know how to use a program in order for it to be useful. Here's a link on How to schedule unattended backups using a stand-alone tape library". Read it through and then try setting up a backup set and see if you can't get it to work with ntbackup.
