Im new in networking. I've question about this No-ip and DNS server that run on Windows 2003 Server Enterprise Corp OS.
I've Free No-IP account since year 2000+ and its allow Wildcard (WC). Its mean, in my domain.com, i can add sub1, sub2, ... for my subdomain of domain.com.
I've an active local ip that run from 127.0.0.1 to 127.0.1.255 (Submask 255.255.255.0). Below is a service port table and I want its become READONLY that cannot be changed again. These servers are run in a same computer (1 Server Computer) and 1 WAN ip only.
127.0.0.1-127.0.1.0 ***RESERVED***

127.0.1.5 HTTPD2 server
127.0.1.6 FTPD serverWAN Ip :219.95.220.169
WAN Subnet: 255.255.255.255

A domain.com 219.95.220.169 (root)
A sub1.domain.com 219.95.220.169 (IRCD1)
A sub2.domain.com 219.95.220.169 (IRCD2)
A sub3.domain.com 219.95.220.169 (IRCD3)
A sub4.domain.com 219.95.220.169 (HTTPD1)
A sub5.domain.com 219.95.220.169 (HTTPD2)
A sub6.domain.com 219.95.220.169 (FTPD)Last time, I were configure DNS server Record on my Windows 2003 Server likes below but its doesnt works. Does its correct or wrong?:-
(My No-IP records)

A sub1.domain.com 219.95.220.169 (IRCD1)
A sub2.domain.com 219.95.220.169 (IRCD2)

A sub5.domain.com 219.95.220.169 (HTTPD2)
A sub6.domain.com 219.95.220.169 (FTPD)
(My Win2003 DNS Server Records)
A domain.com 127.0.0.1 (root)
A sub1.domain.com 127.0.1.1 (IRCD1)
A sub2.domain.com 127.0.1.2 (IRCD2)
A sub3.domain.com 127.0.1.3 (IRCD3)
A sub4.domain.com 127.0.1.4 (HTTPD1)
A sub5.domain.com 127.0.1.5 (HTTPD2)
A sub6.domain.com 127.0.1.6 (FTPD)So my question is, how to forward my sub1.domain.com to 127.0.1.1 (IRCD1) but my WAN ip is 219.95.220.169 and running on the same OS and server computer? Do I need to install/configure DNS server and then set a static ip (not dynamic ip) or other way? Anybody can help me about this? Its been months, almost year I cant solve it...

Lol, yes, maybe a few courses in "BASIC" networking wouldn't hurt either.
How are using the default Class C subnet mask 255.255.255.0 as a subnet mask for a Class A address?
Is that even possible? Does Windows allow it?
Fed up with Windows? Try Ubuntu Linux

"Is that even possible? Does Windows allow it?"
It is possible, and Windows allows you to.

"He who laughs first, laughs last"Ummm not to be rude Tony but you should take a refresher course yourself...
Hero is absolutely correct about subnetting in the 3'd octet for a Class A address. You can subnet in the 3'd octet for a Class B as well.

I'm only 20, so I don't quite have the experience that you guys have, yet. I am in my last term of my network administration program. My Network Infrastructure class just started so I'm fairly new to subnetting.

Can you guys give me an examples how to setup it?
Im using:
-DSL-500T Dlink Router
-DES-1080 Dlink Switch
