Folder redirection question

If you are using folder redirection (to a mapped drive on the server) for all the User's My Documents and the server crashes, does the local machine keep a cache or something for that user's My Documents folder? Or do you have to get that server up and running again to access the My Documents?

By default there is no local cache. You should be able to enable Offline files which would create a cache, but that would be limited to 2GB per computer.
