I was able to setup the firewall and nat in a matter of minutes. Everything was running fine for a few hours then the WAN side of the network droped. By going to a command prompt and running ipconfig i see that both nics(lan and wan side) have the correct IP addresses. If i simple release and renew the WAN NIC internet returns instantly. At first I thought it was a hardware issue due to having some drivers issues but i installed an intel 10/100 mbit nic and the problem still occurs. I checked the event viewer and nothing showed up to indicate was happening. This keeps happening every few ours but its not exact and random when it does occur.

Find out if your ISP requires PPOE authentication. If so, you will need to configure this setting on your router.
