Finding bad hard drive on 2003 serv

How do I find out which hard drive is bad on windows 2003 server with adaptec 2000S RAID controller?

some controllers allow you to "blink" the drive. This is assuming you have it in a hot swap cage.

Otherwise you boot up and note which drive ids load. Then you open the box and find which id did not load.

So for example scsi ids 0, 1 and 3 loaded. You know scsi id 2 is bad if you have 4 drives. Just a matter of looking at each drive to see which is set to id2.

Give a person a fish, they eat for a day. Suggest they internet search and they learn a skill for a lifetime.
