Dear all, I am having a problem with my win2k3 file sharing server. I have set a share folder on the server and I can map to it from win xp. but when I relogon to the xp machine I have to reconnect every time even I have chose "reconnect at logon". and my user name and password are the same for the xp and the win2k3. Any ideas? Thank you in advance. P.S I have the firewall enabled on the server.
Did you try NET USE command with /PERSISTENT:YES option? type NET USE /? if you are unfamiliar with this command. Hope this help.

Did you use the Server MAnager Tool to Share the Folder (Files)? Location is under Administrative Tools and Manage your Server. I have noticed that sometimes permissions do not follow thru unless the folder is shared thru the managment tool.
