Check out FRS (File replication service) in the help system or on technet, but I have to tell you that personally I never got it working to my satisfaction.

I don't know what your problem was, I got many hits on Google:
"Distributed File System and File Replication Services" http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/technologies/storage/dfs/default.mspx

thanks for ur help guys but FRS is for replicating active directory and DFS is for sharing folder from different locations so that they seem to be shared in the one place the thing i need to use is robocopy from the resource kit. What annoyes me is that microsoft didnt have this documented at all when i search for file replication and there was no mention of it when i searched google either.

Burgas,
Regarding FRS, that is only one of it's duties: "File Replication Service (FRS) is the replication engine used by Windows Server 2003 to keep Distributed File System (DFS) shares synchronized."
DFS does actually mirror files to multiple locations. It does so transparently to the user which is what you are referring to.
In your case robocopy may well be the better choice (by far!), as my own experience with DFS/FRS was dismal - I think at least part of the problem was I the size of the dir. - about 5 GB.
