Hi, I searched through this site but I couldn't find a solution to my problem.

I have 1 group called "Production" with 50 members.

I created a share called "ProdShare" with many subfolders. I have granted "Read Only" permission to group "Production" for this folder.

I' have to grant "read/write" access for a single file in one of subfolder in "ProdShare" to user "ProdUser1", who's also a member of group "Production", how can I do that.

No matter what I did, the user seems to inherit the permission from the top level share, which is read only.

Please kindly help me.

Don't allow that file to "inherit" perm's from above. Then set the explicit permission on that file for the user in question.
