Fault tolerance Server with 2 NICs

Specs: WIn7, 4GB

I have a Widows 2003 server act as DC & Exchange, the server has 2 nic running on the same subnet. both IPs registered internal local DNS server, however, every time I ping its name, it always reply back the NIC 1's IP. How do I config server to have failover capability so that if one of NICs dead, users are still able to connect seamlessly to server using AD authentication, and Exchange services?

Server NIC1's IP: 192.168.10.100
Server NIC2's IP: 192.168.10.101

adapter teaming. in your setup both nics are never used. in adapter teaming you have failover as well as doubling your bandwidth. This does require a managed switch that supports one of the teaming protocols.
