we recently moved a majority of our branch users off our exchange server and onto gmail. Gmail gives us 5 mx records to place in our DNS settings to forward mail destined for ourdomain.com to the gmail email servers instead. It works fine its just slow..sometimes mail takes 24 hours to reach a gmail user..any tips?

Check that the MX records are correct. Also check the retry interval. If everything looks ok it's most likely a gmail issue, which you have no control over. I can't imagine why you would want to move people off exchange, a professional solution you have complete control over, to a free non-pro service such as gmail!
