Comment:
the administrator can log into windows 2k3 server, but the domain user receive an error message saying that the local policy does not support logon interactively. My solution was... I right click the domain in AD and select properties, group policy edit and then it take me to group policy editor; from there I expand computer configuration, security settings, local policies and click user rights assignment and on the right side I right click allow log on locally and click properties and i configure a particular user to allow access yet still receive the same error message. please help. thank in advance.

Type gpupdate or gpupdate /force from the command prompt and update your system policy once you have made the change in secpol.msc

Once you have made the changes in AD and GPO go to a command prompt and update the group policy by typing gpupdate /force at the command prompt.

you just have to update your gpo's ... if you want to resolve this problem then you have to go for gpo's updation... in the users configuration or in a local rights you will find a security rule ... Allow Local Users to Logon Interactively... just enable this option and also add all the users of the domain and the best way is add Everyone or Domain Users in this gpo and then run a command gpupdate in the run manue then you can login anywhere in your network with any user.
