Dual CPU Windows Server 2003

I have a 2u server VA Linux Systems 2240 running windows server 2003 ent the POST shows the two cpu's i have at 1000 mhz windows system properties shows 995 MHZ and windows task manager shows two cpu's i'm wondering if the server is running at 2 GHZ or 995 MHZ. ?? I am not 100% sure where to post this so i posted in 2k3 section.

Thanks for any advice in advance.

It is running at gigahertz not two gigahertz. Number of cpus doesn't add to gigahertz rating.

Lookup the processors to see what they are rated in gigahertz.

You have 1000mhz thats all having dual CPU does not make 2000mhz it just make software written to use two CPU's ie W2K3 able to work more efficiently, by splitting tasks between them. Word is an example where 2 CPU's makes no difference.

I myself have 2 x DualCore XEON, XP runs no faster overall for day to day tasks ie Internet/Office..
