We have a system which was upgraded from Windows Server 2003 Standard to Windows 2003 Enterprise. We do not have, nor want to pay for, the Enterprise license.
Is there an easy way to downgrade the installation to 2003 Server Standard?

Question: If you "do not have, nor want to pay for, the Enterprise license" how did you ever get it installed and why did you bother with it in the first place. This makes little or no sense to me. In fact, it sounds a lot like a pirated copy of 2003 Enterprise................

Not that I know of....but then I don't know everything and perhaps someone else can tell you how to roll your system back to 2000 from 2003. As far as I know, your only option is to format the drive and do a clean (fresh) install of 2000.

I would almost suspect that a ntbackup's restore from working time with system state might do it.

Do you actually have a legit copy of 2003 standard? You are probably loking at a reinstall.
