Hello all,
Simple question - (but not for me....)

Can anyone please explain the difference between "Register this connection's addresses in DNS" and "Use this connection's DNS suffix in DNS registration"?. If I understand correctly, choosing the first option will update ddns to include my hostname. So if my hostname is comp1, and domain name is whatever.local, will choosing the first option set me up with comp1.whatever.local? If so, what is the second option for?

One more question. I am working in a small network with 2003 server and xp machines. I want to permit some users to share files from their xp machines. Is this a permission (do I need to make them part of the power users group), or is it a group policy setting? When I check the properties of a folder to share it, there is no tab for sharing.

Any help or comments would be a great help for me. Thanks.
