DNS for Windows exchange 2003?

Hey guys, I'm trying to install exchange server 2003 on win server 2003, but I'm haiving trouble running Forestprep, because it says im not in a domain, but im in the workgroup domain. Do i need to setup DNS for windows server 2003 for exchange?

Active Directory is required for Exchange. Active Directory in turn requires DNS. If you didn't know this, I highly suggest you read up on Exchange before you attempt even installing it. Please help survivors of Hurricane Katrina! www.redcross.org
