Hey, I have a network drive (linksys nas200 and a dlink) that I have mapped to my computer. There is a program which automatically maps them (which came on the cd with the drive). How can I find out the actual server/share name for the mapped drive? I want to be able to vpn in, and then map the network drive, but without the info I obviously can't do that (unless I had the cd with me, but I don't want to have to bring that). So anyways...
If the drive is already mapped to my computer, how can I get the drive to display its information (i.e server\share)? Thanks

It will be shown with its drive letter assignment in My Computer.

Sorry, but like I said, that is not correct. It does not show the share name. It says only "Dlink" or "Linksys". So is there another way to look this info up?

If you VPN into the server, then logic dictates you'd have to login to actually do anything, right? So, if that's the case, once you login, you'll have access to the drive.

unfortunately, there is no script when someone vpn's in to map the drives. So they can vpn in, but no drives are automatically apped. Hence the reason I need to find a way to look up the server name and share info

What shows when you go to network places?
What shows when you browse to the nas server and its shares?if you type "net use" at a cmd prompt what shows?
Imagine the power of knowing how to internet search
