OS: Win2k3 Server
CPU/Ram: Pentium 4, 1 GB
Product: IBM
Comment:

I have an incorrectly named domain (one name component instead of two) that I want to change by creating a new domain on an additional win2k3 server and making it the PDC. Does anyone know if dcpromo will move the Active directory information from my old server/domain to my new server/domain ?

If not does anyone have any suggestions on how to rename a domain without using Microsofts Rendom procedure ?

Thank you

Why don't you just rename your domain?

How does one rename the domain without using either the domain rename tool or rebuilding the server ?
