hi all, could anyone help me with procedures on how to make a windows 2003 bootable disk? I try to put windows 2003 enterpr. in the cdrom and start the computer it doesn't boot so that i can begin the installation. FYI i did make cd boot first in BIOS. thanks all.

Hi mai,
From your previous post (read it, I wrote a note there), if you were able to burn the .bin image to a CD then the CD should be able to boot from it.
If you extracted the contents of the .bin file to your hard drive and then copy them to the CD, the you lost the autobootbale part of the image file.note: if you copy the .bin file as it is directly to the CD, then there is no way to setup any OS this way, since it's an image not the extracted files.
On the other hand, if you extracted the files to the hard drive and the burned them to a CD, and lost the bootable part, then you can boot from a bootable floppy from Win98 or ME, make sure you have the file smartdrv.exe in it (if it does not ahve it, then just copy it to the floppy from any Win98,ME,2k,XP machine). Once you bootup from the floppy then type at the promt:
a:\smartdrv.exe
then move to the i386 folder in the CD
a:\d: (where D is your CDrom drive)
d:\cd i386
d:\i386>winnt.exe and this should start the setup.good luck!
