I have an old P4 machine at home which I have installed Win Server Enterprise 2003.

I have set this up so far as a uTorrent client which I access using the webUI (see www.utorrent.com) both internally and externally.

I have a dyndns account pointing to my server to do this and as my connection is dynamic the dyndns client is installed on the server.

I want to share a folder but so it is available on the web, it must be password protected. How would I do this, I cant find any resources on the Internet telling me but I know it can be done as I can access my college network folder from home.

Thanks!

Okay, so what you need to do is go to Add/Remove Programs > Windows Components and install Internet Information Services (IIS)

Then the Web Sharing tab will become available on a folder's properties!

Okay so after getting that set up, I can access the share internally http://192.168.1.2/sharename but not with the external IP address.

Do I need to forward a port on my router?

I am using a ADSL router and have got 3 PCs connected.
