Hi, i think this a problem with windows. The CPU only runs at 598mhz instead of 1.60ghz as it should be. I disabled intel speedstep in the bios, yet it still is not running at full speed (or at least its not reporting too)
it's a dell insprion 2200. Windows server 2003 enterprise R2 SP2.

Wrong choice.

Laptops are designed to trottle down to save power. Speedstep is part to the process that decides when to do what.
