I have an old desktop hta i want to convert into a server to run my website. What would i need to do since i know nothing about servers so your gonna have to start from the beggining. I have win98 with amd k-6 at 150mhz. i have a 6gb hdd and 192 mb ram. anything else you need to know.
BTW, this should have been put in the Windows 95/98 support forum, but since it's here, it's here! (On second thought, were you wanting to put Server 2003 on your machine?)

I think misunderstand what all window 2003 can do. All you need is a faster computer and either XP pro using IIS to serve pages or Apache or Xitami or some other web server. Actually you can run Xitami now for small hit setups.

The minimum system requirements for XP are 233 MHz processor and 128 MB RAM (which is painfully slow to run under, even with nothing but windows running). I think that PWS, Apache, or Xitami will all work, but you're fine running 98. Actually, you might even get performance gains if you want to take a leap and jump into linux...
