Hi I am wondering if it is possible to convert domain user profiles to local profiles? I have come across a small business with a suspected pirate version of Windows 2003 acting as their authentication server. The managing director wants it off immediately and to be honest it is overkill for their purposes anyway. I am planning on turning the network into a plain old peer-to-peer setup with purely XP clients. How do I speedily convert the existing domain profiles to local profiles so that I don't have to go moving files and re-installing applications?

From what I know, it is not possible to convert a domain profile to a local profile. Image this, You are pouring out water from a 1L cup into a 500ml cup. What will happen? The extra 500ml water will not be in the 500ml cup and lost. This is how my teacher explained to me, and I hope you understand because I don't!! T_T

Hi, everyone ^_^

It can be done, but not "speedily." How many users do you have?
