Hi
I am trying to set up a client/server network.I have set up 2003 server as domain controller and this seems to work fine. I have created a user in active directory. When I try to connect to the domain in windows 2000 pro i enter the logon and password and it logs on but the local machine user rights are lost and I cant seem to do much. How do I keep the local settings of the machine but still enable logging on/viewing resources on the server?

If this user is for you and you are administrating the domain, make yourself a member of the Domain Admins group. By default the group has local admin rights to all computers joined to the domain.
