well, this is estrange, i have win 2003 server in my laptop, i also have xp pro in my PC, i just want to configure a workgroup with both machines, but i cant, everything (i guess) is ok, the ips are 10.0.0.2 and 10.0.0.3, the mask is 255.0.0.0 in both, the workgroup is LAN in both, the cable is a crossover, they both ping each other, but they cant see their selves, i try to access from the explorer like \\10.0.0.2 and the message is that the network cant be reached, also my data in both pcs are already shared, i don't know what to do really, i had win 2000 some days ago, and everything was ok, but know it doesn't work. well i hope anyone can help me please. thanks so much

If you can ping then try to access the other machine using \\%ip-address%\c$ <--- this will open your c - drive, ip-address would be the ip of the other machine. You can also try to use other drive letters with the $ sign. Also try to check if the network connection firewall is enabled.
