Connect to AD users

OS: Win2003 enterprise editio
CPU/Ram: Q6600/4G
Product: Intel

I have a AD with win2003 OS.
I want to set another computer with win2003 to become a member server.
It can connect to Domain, but if I want to set the security for folders and etc I can't connect to AD users.
Although I haven't problem with clients with WinXP OS.
What should I do? Thanks.

yes, it joined. but after a few days it will reject.
