Computer freeze

I am upgrading my OS on one of my machines from 98 to 2000 and every time it gets to updating the registry it restarts and starts the installation all over.

Did you run the Hardware comp tool, to see if your computer hardware will work with 2000 Pro, I would wipe that computer and Install 2000 Pro from scratch..

Hello,

Yeah, most of the time it's a better idea to run intall form nothing that upgrading. Just make sure you have all proper drivers before you do so. I've founded out that most user don't have aclue about the type of there modem or even Video card.
