Hello to all,

I have a user that has just got married, and i need to change her surname for the domain logon.

If i change her username on the server, will this create a new profile in which i'll need to copy everthing back into??

Or do i rename the local profile to the new name?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is her surname part of her login name? If so, rename her User logon name in Active Directory User account. The local profile on her machine will not change.

Renaming the local profile will cause a new profile to be created when she logs in. So you don't want to do that.

Life is more painless for those who are brainless.
