I have a Win2k3 server running as a VPN server and DC. I have a Win XP Pro client hooked up to the domain, lets call it cccp.
I have a file server running on 2K3 server.
My client can see both him and 2K3 server on the cccp domain and can connect to both. My server sees both itself and client and can connect to both. But when there is a VPN connection being created by second client XP pro with the same domain, he can see the server and the file server and can access it, but he can not access shares on other client in the domain. Server can see the machine name in the network places but can not access it. I get the Network path not found or you don't have permissions dialog. What could be the problem. Did we not set up the domain correctly on client side? Should something be changed in VPN server?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

1. can not access shares on other client: have you enabled ip routing?
2. Server can see the machine name in the network places but can not access it: does he logon using his domain id and the same password? For more tips or information, go to http://www.ChicagoTech.net

Yes, I have VPN / NAT translation for the routing and remote access. The vpn client gets an internal ip address say 192.168.0.11 or so and the server stays at 192.168.0.21. As I said earlier, the local client (not VPN) can see shares and server can see local client's shares. It is only the VPN client that can not see anything other than server!
As far as the logon, he logs on to his local computer and then creates a VPN session using the logon and password for the domain.
What is wrong?
Thanks for any assistance...
