Can't install POP3 Service...

hi,
i have win 2k3 on my server and have just installed exchange 2k3 and am trying to configure the pop3 virtual server but it won't start because the pop3 service is not installed...so i go to control panel...add/remove windows components and try to install the pop3 service but i get a messgae saying it can't install the pop3 service because exchange is installed...anybody any ideas how to get pop3 working please??
