Hi guys,
My server is running Windows 2003 Server Stand Edition and I setup as a DNS,AD,DHCP,File,Print Server
I enable Remote Desktop and detach everything but the power cable and keyboard and leave the server under my main rigI use Remote Desktop to control the server and configure everything, so i set up Romaing profiles by setting two shares on the server 1) PROFILES and 2) Docs
I gibe NetUsers (group containing all users) read access and set their name to full access on their folder (eg. Darin full access to SERVER\PROLFILES\Darin)
when i logon it all works and when i logoff it syncs back to the server fine, here is the thing i dont like...
What i want is to have each user logon to any workstation and get the same dekstop and documents, which is what i assumed by "romaing profiles" but i get the same documents nd the profile seems to always create itself anew instead of leading from the server shareMy other question is this: I have AD and users all set up but I can log on and do wtv but it seems that users have VERY little rights (eg. cant change time)
I would like users to still be able to install programs and such on the domain to their machine but still have the security of a domain
I have more but i will wait
THanks for any and ALL hlp!
Darin LDarin Luckie
