Hey. I'm having trouble applying a group policy to my clients. I have it all set up, but it never gets applied. I looked at the event log and here is what it says: Windows cannot access the file gpt.ini for GPO cn={31B2F340-016D-11D2-945F-00C04FB984F9},cn=policies,cn=system,DC=CHICK,DC=local. The file must be present at the location <\\CHICK.local\sysvol\CHICK.local\Policies\{31B2F340-016D-11D2-945F-00C04FB984F9}\gpt.ini>. (The network path was not found. ). Group Policy processing aborted. I understand that it can't find the files, but I do have them shared! Any ideas on how to fix this?

The looks like a very bad error. If anyone has a fix they are not publicizing it, but I did find this advice from a search on goups.google.com at http://tinyurl.com/96j6o Start / Run / CMD.exe / OK. Type dfsutil /PurgeMupCache and press Enter. If this is error 1058 (You should always post these numbers if you have them), there is a long thread at http://tinyurl.com/753hw - worth a look. Peter

did you apply the new SP1 yet? I would try that, when did you notice the problem? have you been having trouble with this server? hardware/software? do you have anti-virus loaded? please give us details before the problem? have you ever appyed GPO before this problem?
