I have a win server 2003 w/ extended NTFS partition created, and all of the sudden i'm not able to access it. When i go into the disk management i see the two blocks for my two partitions (c,d) but the drive letters are not there or the type of format. I only see how much space is allocated. When i try to acces the properties for either c: or d: i get the following "operation was canceled due to an internal error" If i try to change drive letter i get " The operation did not complete, check the system event log for more information. Close disk management console and then restart disk management before retrying the operation.
I looked in the event log and i dont see nothing related to this problem.
any ideas would be very helpfull as i have important data stored on this extedned partition. I'm able to access the C: drive with no problems, even i go into dos and try to access the d: drive i get "the system could not find the drive specified"
